The genus Legionella is a pathogenic group of bacteria. Legionnaire’s disease is an illness caused by the species Legionella pneumophila infecting the lungs. The illness produces pneumonia like symptoms, which may cause death in immunocompromised individuals, the young, or the elderly.
In October 2019 PTA conducted a training course for the National Metrology Institute of Malaysia (NMIM) in Selangor, Malaysia. The training covered the requirements of ISO/IEC 17043 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories (2017). The two day course was attended by 50 NMIM staff members.
