Asbestos has been discovered strewn along Central Coast beaches after erosion unearthed building waste buried in the dunes, years after authorities discovered the deadly fibre under a house that formerly belonged to disgraced Labor powerbroker Eddie Obeid.
PTA is pleased to announce the addition of 2 new tests to the Microbiological Waters program. For Round 69 (potable water), which commences in September 2020, tests for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Clostridium perfringens (vegetative cells) by membrane filtration (MF) will be included at no extra cost. These tests will continue to be offered in one potable waters round each year.
PTA has recently appointed an agent in Vietnam. Khai Hoan Scitech will be responsible for the participation of laboratories from Vietnam in PTA proficiency testing programs.
